The Plumjungle
Nonfiction. July 14, 2014. The Plumjungle is nonfiction except that I went to the restaurant twice (June 20 and July 4, 2014). The smiling host happened both times. The sad gambler was only there the second time. Everything else I wrote about happened the first time. Putting all of those events into two trips would have made for two boring stories rather than one.
Geoffrey, the Manhattan Woman (Introduction)
Fiction. December 25, 2013. Posted February 7, 2014. It's just an introduction. An idea for an old story I had that I never got around to finishing.
LymeLighter
Nonfiction. July 19, 2013. Not really a "story"; it's just a diary entry about getting a tick in my arm.
The Pen is Mightier than the Cop (Part One)
Nonfiction. January 20, 2011. There was a Part 2, but I never finished it. Because I wasn't irritated. Part 2 came a couple of years later, when the officer in Part 1 came to my rescue.
The Gastronome
Fiction. I wrote this on December 21, 2007. This isn't good. Aside from a couple of ideas and one or two sentences that are salvageable-ish. I was 27, lacking skill, and someone gave me a list of words to "make up a story with." I think they were: Reagan, Lincoln, Vietnam, Boston, yeast, and Saran Wrap. Enjoyable exercise, boring story.
